I struggled at today's animation session but I wasn't alone! I think with a programme like auto desk 3d max it takes a lot of time playing around familiarising yourself with the software and such.
Any who this is what i managed to create.

Tuesdays Task
Following our lecture on C.R.A.P which is basically a guideline for a deisgn layout and any screen space. We were asked to find a design on a poster or leaflet and re-design it in photoshop this is mine:
I chose this leaflet because when i looked at it I wondered well whats Milianos I don't think it clearly states that its a pizza place it could be a website for all I knew. I also looked at it and felt the colour didn't do the ability to read any favours with the red faintly on the black and faint white on the green it didn't catch the viewers eye. Also i found the whole picture very packed there was to much going on I don't understand why they would put what looks to me like an icy christmassy picture on the picture when it has no resemblance to pizza it just confuses the reader. I examined these issues and tried to adjust them.

Animation Today
Today we practiced our drawing skills as we learnt it was a very important aspect to animation. I learnt that you can produce a drawing by using feeling and your eye its what you see. To start Debra modelled for us and we had to draw her movements these were quite fun:)
Then we were asked to draw the negative space of the chairs which had been set up I'll admit that I'm not the best at drawing in the world but i really struggled with this i couldn't quite get the hang of not drawing the actual object it was just happening by mistake so i found this quite frustrating.
I managed to draw the structure of chairs laid upon each other before i went into the session I probably wouldn't of even been able to draw a complicated structure like that but yep i did it just about !
I enjoyed this session and feel i learnt a lot about the way of drawing and the way you look at something and can draw it the way you see it.

Animation
First day of animation and believe it or not but the word jelly took me two hours to work out how to do it despite me having a list of instructions and being talked through it. When i finished jelly i actually started experimenting with 3d max and made an apple that spun i was quite proud unfortunately it went all wrong and i couldn't undo the mistakes so didn't save it. I've got 3d max installed on my laptop so I'm going to just play around with it and see what happens.
End of interactive space
Starting off on the interactive space project I seemed to concentrate more on sequential images producing a lot of images that told a step by step story such as the process of the seasons changing the leaves from green to brown it’s not so much a story but more of a sequence but I used all these images as a starting point. Learning that I needed more of a story line I used the teddy bear and went through the process of drinking then being sick then going to bed. On to the second week I used some eggs and made various backgrounds to create a step by step story drawing faces on the eggs I made characters and set the scenes with various backgrounds completing with a story of love and heartbreak. Coming up with my final idea I tended not to struggle with story lines but more the branching off and creating various situations and endings. Looking back at my final project it’s clear to see that I adapted the previous work I had done with the eggs and teddy for example I used the same idea of having backdrops and making it into like a freeze frame story with people and used the idea of drugs and heartbreak as influences towards my final Lego piece. I did think about using projection and creating tableaus using people in one of the studios and projecting images on to the back wall I think this would have been much more effective. I feel looking back at my project it would be interesting and appealing to the user if it had more scenarios more people and more chances for various outcomes. Also in the images I used the use of colour and size for the user to be able to identify where to click so all the words are big, bold and in yellow or blue and red for a bad ending. I’m not sure whether the user would prefer and find it more capturing if they were to click on items related to the scenario for example when bobby as to sell drugs click on the bag of drugs. If i were to do something that involved having a user again I could ask people and make a tally of what comes out the most popular. Overall I’m happy with my project I think it’s eye-catching and entertaining for the user and not complicated therefore boring for the user to use
Putting my work into a html format if I’m honest I struggled at first but I’m glad I did a trial run with other pictures because I think it’s one of those things that if you play around with it and learn what goes what and where you soon realise that actually it could have been just one bracket out of place that was causing your picture not to come up that’s the problem I had at first and it was such a relief to learn that !

My final interactive space project
Following my egg idea i feel i progressed on it and used the lives of two Lego men and women to create different scenarios in which the viewer can decide on what pathway to take whether it will end out good or bad. I think the idea came from the videos we looked at during one of our classes which was a video on you tube which you could pick the outcome related to knife crime. I'm happy with my final outcome as you look down my blog you can see the change in ideas i had which finally left me to the Lego creation. In the edit i used bright colours for the text so the viewer would know where to click to continue light blue for Daisy's and yellow for Bobby's and red if the outcome was bad all the pictures after the various scenarios end back at the index page which is at the top.

maybe more of a story
This is just a quick story i put together because although i prefer my other pictures I'm still not sure if we have to tell a story in our sequential images:
Interactive Space so far..
I'm not sure whether these tell a story as such but they are certainly sequential, for example the transition from leaves shows the clear movement through the autumn and how leaves change in shape and colour.
